My main teaching experience and interests are in Microbiology, Introductory Biology, Human Biology, Genetics, and Bioethics. I have been teaching full-time since 2005 -- at City College of San Francisco until 2016 and here at SRJC since then. I have also had the privilege of working as a visiting fellow with the Presidential Commission for the Study of Bioethical Issues during the Spring of 2015. At the Commission, I initiated the development of educational materials that integrate ethical issues into basic biology courses.
