Sara Dooley Henning teaches in SRJC’s Business Department, bringing together experience in business, law, entrepreneurship, and social impact. Her professional background spans law, nonprofit leadership, international development, impact investing, and social sector consulting, giving her a broad view of how business decisions affect people, organizations, and communities.
In the classroom, Sara focuses on making business concepts practical, accessible, and connected to real life. Her classes emphasize real-world decision-making, critical thinking, legal and ethical gray areas, and the process of turning ideas into practical next steps. She enjoys helping students build confidence in their ability to apply business concepts, evaluate opportunities, solve problems, and make thoughtful career and organizational decisions.
Sara holds a J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where she specialized in Corporate Law, and a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Missouri. She continues to consult on impact strategy and measurement and serves on nonprofit boards focused on women’s financial inclusion and community-centered local journalism.
