Dr. Muwafaqu Al asad. MD, CCMA-AC, Medical Assistant Instructor & Program Coordinator is an active member of the California Certifying Board of Medical Assistance Association in Administrative and Clinical CCMA-AC. In 1988, he received his M.D. in Romania.
His teaching experience includes seventeen years as an instructor teaching MA, RT, RN, LVN, and paramedic courses at various educational institutes. He has a CTA credential to teach bio-medical technology. He is an ACLS & BLS provider, certified phlebotomist & EKG.
Prior to teaching at Santa Rosa Junior College, Dr. Al Asad was has coordinated Medical Assisting courses at numerous institutions including Merritt College in Oakland, Hayward Adult School in Hayward, Boston Reed College at Baden Adult School in South City, Palo Alto Adult School in Palo Alto, Milpitas Adult School in Milpitas, Fremont Adult School in Fremont, and Union City Adult School in Union City.
