I have been teaching at Santa Rosa Junior College since 1984 in the Emergency Medical Care Department. I have been department chair and in 1994 the Paramedic Academy began. Since then I have held the position of program director. In addition to paramedic courses I have taught First Responder, EMT, Emergency Nursing, and various continuing education courses.
Although I have lived in Sonoma County for better than 25 years, I still consider myself a recovering Southern Californian. I was born, raised and spent many years in San Diego. I am married to a paramedic who moved his office from the ambulance to a desk. We have one daughter who is working her way through Santa Rosa Junior College. I travel as much as I can, preferably if it can be to Italy or other locations across the pond. I enjoy cooking, gardening and reading.
