Bachelor of Science, Economics, United States Military Academy at West Point

Master of Business Administration, University of Oxford

Kyle Zeck joined the faculty at Santa Rosa Junior College after a varied career in the Army, renewable energy, business development, and entrepreneurship,. He is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and began his career as an active-duty Army officer. His military service has given him the opportunity to work with people and organizations across the United States and overseas.

After active duty, Kyle earned an MBA from the University of Oxford and worked in business development at NextEra Energy Resources, where he supported Distributed Generation projects and learned firsthand how business, energy, finance, infrastructure, and public policy come together in the real world. He later began teaching business and economics as an adjunct faculty member at College of the Redwoods before joining Santa Rosa Junior College as a full-time faculty member in 2020.

At SRJC, Kyle teaches business, personal finance, and related courses. He enjoys helping students see how the ideas discussed in class show up in everyday decisions: choosing a career, buying or renting a home, understanding debt, investing for the future, starting a small business, or simply figuring out what kind of life they want to build. He also brings practical experience as a small-scale entrepreneur and Airbnb host, which gives him a useful perspective on real estate, hospitality, budgeting, risk, taxes, and small business ownership.

Outside the classroom, Kyle’s interests include travel, economic history, personal finance, and the long-term choices people make about work, service, education, and family. He especially enjoys teaching when students bring their own goals and questions into the classroom, and he sees business education as a practical way to help students better understand both the economy and their own future options.

Some people follow sports; Kyle follows markets.
