Basic Clinical Skills for Medical Assisting -- : Aug 22 - Dec 12 2018
ORIENTATION & SKILL PACK PICK UP on Mon, August 20, 2018, 8am to 12pm, Race Building, Skills Lab. Please contact Katherine Slusser at kslusser@santarosa.edu to get instructions on how to order your clinical skills supplies pack. Please wear the entire uniform to the Orientation as described here: Uniform Dress Code Requirements. You will be given your ID badges at the Orientation. Bring something to take notes with - either paper and pen, or an electronic device.

Clinical Internship -- : Sep 20 - Dec 13 2018
This class meets every Thursday at the assigned onsite clinic from 8:00am to 5:30pm. The MA 163L clinical orientation and instructor meet/greet is on Wednesday, 9/12/18 from 5:30-7pm in Emeritus, 1596. Due to blood and body fluid exposure during skills lab, and because of the health requirements of the healthcare facilities in which students are placed for their intern/externships, all students must comply with the entry requirements, before being able to register for the class. These requirements can be found here: Health Requirements. Once the health requirements are met, please contact Katherine for an add code (contact info below). Add codes are then given out during the student's Priority Registration period. Once the class is ful at 30 students, a first-come-first-served wait list will be started. Externship: Medical Assisting -- : Jun 11 - Aug 11 2018
Orientation and Instructor Meet/Greet on Thurs, 5/17/18 from 5-7pm,room 4044. This section has 20.5 weekly hours by arrangement. Students should plan to work as early as 7am and as late as 9pm, and may also have to work on the weekends, depending on where the student is placed for externship. Due to blood and body fluid exposure during skills lab, and because of the health requirements of the healthcare facilities in which students are placed for their intern/externships, all students must comply with the health requirements, before being able to register for the class.
