Judy has been a part-time instructor at Santa Rosa Junior College since 1976. During that time, she has taught a wide range of classes from tailoring to color analysis, but her major areas of expertise are pattern development and history of costume. Judy puts both areas of knowledge to work when designing or building costumes for Bay Area theater companies such as the Lamplighters Music Theater of S.F., Willows Theater in Concord and Piedmont Light Opera Theater. This work has led her to help create a theater costuming program and certificate at Ca___Е_тх_хт▒ada College in Redwood City, where she also works part-time.

Judy has continued has continued her study of pattern development by learning about computer pattern making programs, most notably, the PAD system. In rare moments of spare time, she enjoys singing and performing on stage in musical comedies and operettas.
