There are opportunities to work with the elderly, the disabled, animals, youth of all ages, environmental groups, in non-profit agencies, educational institutions, health care facilities and social service agencies. Hours are flexible and arranged between the student and the organization.

A maximum of 3 units is allowed for the semester; CI is not repeatable unless aprroved by petiton or to expunge a non-passing grade. The units apply to the AA/AS from any community college in California and towards a BA/BS from any California State University.
