I grew up in the refrigeration and air conditioning trade working with my father in southern California. At age 17, I was running residential A/C service calls and commercial refrigeration service primarily for  the restaurant industry. At 21, I became a licensed C20 (HVAC) and C38 (Refrigeration) CA contractor and started my own business. I worked in the trade while paying my way through college, ultimately earning a MPA degree. Over the years my business has grown to  include;  industrial chillers, cooling towers, large commercial package units, custom residential HVAC installations  and much more.

In 1996 I started teaching HVAC/R for a community college in Los Angeles.  More than 30 years later, I still own my HVAC/R business and teach HVAC/R at multiple colleges. It's been an incredible journey and I'm eager to help you learn the trade leading you to a challenging and  rewarding career.
