I am a Counselor and Instructor with 38 years of experience at Santa Rosa Junior College.
I grew up in Chula Vista California, and completed my undergraduate and graduate work at San Diego State University. I earned my AS Degree from Southwestern Community College, BA and MA degrees at San Diego State University.
I am the counseling representative to the Academic Senate. The Academic Senate is the main campus committee charged with the responsibility for the participation, development and review of all academic policy, which affects the instruction offered at SRJC. I served as the Academic Senate President for over six years.
I have authored several text books and countless magazine articles in the area of technology and governance. I have also created several recipes for Sunset Magazine and cooking has turned out to be one of my favorite hobbies.
I also hold an elected position to the Board of Education for the Santa Rosa City Schools District. I am a past President and current Board Member for the California School Boards Association. I am also the Secretary/Treasurer of the National School Boards Association.
I have been married to Ann for 38 years and we have really great kids, Eliz and her husband Ryan and their daughter Ada, and Caroline and her husband Doug.
