Life is most interesting when it is full of new challenges, right? As Eleanor Roosevelt once said,_Фё─__Do one thing every day that scares you._Фё─ё¤ That is why we are here on this planet, and I try to make the most of my time here.
I have been an instructor at SRJC since 1996 and have enjoyed each and every class. I began teaching GED preparation classes. Since then I have taught a variety of College Skills and English classes. I feel very grateful to be part of such an extraordinary campus and to have the opportunity to work with so many amazing students.
Before coming to SRJC, I taught junior high and high school and worked with students with learning disabilities. My true passion as a teacher lies in my love of books and collaborating with students as they discover their own love of reading and writing.
I love travel, reading, and writing. My greatest passion (other than teaching, of course) is anything to do with Italy. When I am not teaching and correcting papers, I will be working on my Italian. I am passionately in love with Rome and Florence and dream of the sparkling fountains and warm beaches. In the meantime, I am looking forward to the gift of this upcoming semester!
"You think your pain and your heartbreak are unprecedented in the history of the world, but then you read. It was books that taught me that the things that tormented me most were the very things that connected me with all the people who were alive, or who had ever been alive." James Baldwin
