Academic Experience

Previously taught Legal Secretarial courses at Santa Rosa Junior College.  Currently teach Legal Professions and Family Law for the Paralegal Program.  Intern coordinator for the Paralegal Program and Legal Secretarial Program.

I worked for Sonoma County Superior Court for 30 years.  I was a Judicial Assistant, Supervisor, and Manager.  I managed the Family, Restraining Order, Child Support, and Juvenile Divisions for the court.  I worked closely with the legal community and assisted with development of programs for self-represented litigants.   After my retirement, I worked as a paralegal for a family law attorney.  I now freelance and work as a contract paralegal for attorneys and am certified as a Legal Document Assistant (LDA).  As an LDA, I help self represented litigants in family law with completion of their paperwork and provide procedural information.

I prevously taught Legal Secretarial courses at SRJC. After my retirement from Sonoma County Superior Court, I came back to teaching.

I am a believer in giving back to the community.  I volunteer at Legal Aid of Sononma County where I assist self represented litigants with family law and domestic violence issues.  I also am a Board Member for the Redwood Empire Paralegal Association.

I like to swim and play tennis and golf.
