I am a native of Santa Rosa and began my 27 year fire service career with Rincon Valley Fire Department - Larkfield Station where I began riding tailboard. I soon joined the Federal Government as a civilian Firefighter, Engineer and Rescue Squad member. My years were spent between Two Rock Coast Guard and Presidio Fire Departments.
Following that time on the line I joined San Rafael Fire Department Fire Prevention Bureau where I held positions of Fire Inspector, Deputy Fire Marshal, Acting Fire Marshal and Captain Specialist. Additionally I participated as a Hazardous Materials Specialist on the Marin County Hazardous Materials Response Team for 15 years, and as a Fire Investigator on the Marin County Fire Investigation Task Force for 20 years.
In 2011 I retired as a Captain Specialist.
Many years were spent in the area administering hazardous materials regulatory programs, hazardous materials emergency response, contaminated site environmental cleanups, fire investigations and extensive experience in the many disciplines of Fire Prevention and related programs. In a past life, I maintained a website design and content management business. Currently webmaster for Tyler Turkle, a Filmaker/ Artist http://www.tylerturkle.com.
I am currently a FCC Licensed Amateur Radio operator and participate in many Public Service Events where radiuo contact is important.
