In the EMS profession since 1982, Art has worked as a volunteer, line medic, educator and chief officer in private, third service and fire-based EMS. He has directed both primary and EMS continuing education programs, including the George Washington University School of Medicine and City College of San Francisco. A Past President of the National Association of EMS Educators, and a scholarship recipient of the American Society of Association Executives, Art is a published textbook author, editorial columnist and has presented at conferences nationwide. Art has two grown sons and lives with his wife in Sonoma County. He has a serious passion for photography and can been seen often running around with a camera in his hands.
