Academic Experience

I am a full-time instructor in the Child Development Department.  I have taught at SRJC part-time and full-time since 1997. I have also been an adjunct instructor at Napa Valley College and Pacific Oaks College. Prior to teaching at the college level, I was a preschool teacher and director and I worked with children ages 6 months to 8 years old in full-day child care and after-school care.

I serve as the California Early Childhood Mentor Program Coordinator for the Santa Rosa Area.  See more information about how the Mentor Program serves the early childhood field by visiting their web page: www.ecementor.org.

Interested in becoming a teacher or director mentor?  Please email me for more information: ahampton@santarosa.edu.

All local child care and preschool program directors are invited to be part of our monthly seminar series.  Schedules provided under the "Links" tab.

If you are a director or teacher looking for additional support from a mentor, please contact me at the email above and I can connect you with a mentor.

Directors can also benefit from our Mentor Program lending library.  See the "Links" tab on this page for the mobile lending library information.
